Cool E/A Ravenheart Gloom Solo Farm

I saw the excellent thread by Zeph here and the original idea by Captain Jager here and figured I'd try to apply it to other areas of DoA... namely, Ravenheart Gloom. I only had to make a few modifications to the City version of the build to get enough DPS to kill the Torments. I've been able to kill everything but Spirit and Earth Tormentors easily so far.

Anyways:

Build Code:
Code:
OgdToY285J0pzwdAjhROrY0ABA
Energy Storage: 3+1 (If you have too little HP, the Earth Torments will kill you)
Fire Magic: 16 (12+1+3)
Shadow Arts: 12

Shadow of Haste (Shadow Arts)
For 34 seconds you move 15% faster than normal. When Shadow of Haste ends, you return to the location where you activated this skill.
Energy:5 Cast:0 Recharge:30

Shadow Form [Elite] (Shadow Arts)
For 17 seconds, all hostile spells that target you fail and all attacks against you miss. When Shadow Form ends, lose all but 41 health.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:60

Death's Charge (Shadow Arts)
Shadow Step to target foe. If that foe has more Health than you, you are healed for 112.
Energy:5 Cast:0.25 Recharge:45

Meteor Shower (Fire Magic)
Create a Meteor Shower at target foe's location. For 9 seconds, foes adjacent to that location are struck for 119 fire damage and knocked down every 3 seconds. This Spell causes Exhaustion.
Energy:25 Cast:5 Recharge:60

Lava Font (Fire Magic)
For 5 seconds, foes adjacent to the location where this Spell was cast are struck for 53 fire damage
Energy:10 Cast:2 Recharge:4

Bed of Coals (Fire Magic)
Create a Bed of Coals at your location. For 10 seconds, foes standing still near this location are struck for 31 fire damage each second. Any foe knocked down on the Bed of Coals is set on fire for 7 seconds.
Energy:15 Cast:1 Recharge:30

Firestorm (Fire Magic)
Create a Fire Storm at target foe's location. For 10 seconds, foes adjacent to that location are struck for 37 fire damage each second.
Energy:10 Cast:2 Recharge:10

Dark Escape (Shadow Arts)
For 13 seconds, you move 25% faster and take half damage. Dark Escape ends if you successfully hit with an attack.
Energy:5 Cast:0 Recharge:30

Equipment:

Primary: Anything with +20% to enchant and +5 to energy
Offhand: +12 Energy - 20% HCT/HCR Fire Spells

Armor: Energy (You can pass with just chest and leg pieces with Radiant)

Strategy:

Basically, you start off in a relatively safe area in the Ravenheart Gloom. Don't bother taking the quest since you're just looking to score some easy kills. I normally either just trigger the attack on the Order of Whispers group near the mouth exit of where you appear or just run by them by using Shadowform and Dark Escape. There's lots of room out there for you to run around so either way works but I really prefer running out first.

I'm going to assume you do run out so the first targets should always be the groups with don't contain any Earth Tormentors or more than 2 Heart Tormentors. This is because the Earth Tormentors can damage you through Shadow Form and for me often do not die for sure every time. The Heart Tormentors aren't too bad, they will die with one teleport but you have to be careful of Reverse Damage because it will trigger on you after Shadow Form has faded which could possibly kill you (I haven't died yet, but taken like 2 weak hits before) - The best groups to go for first are the ones which attack Order of Whispers group because they tend to bunch up on top of each other in spot which lets you kill off multiple targets.

Either way, I am able to kill everything but Spirit Tormentors because of their high AL vs elemental damage. I have trouble killing Flesh and Earth Tormentors but hopefully I can figure out a better damage dealing build.

Anyways, the method of attack for me goes either in 2 ways depending on what I'm fighting, but usually I use the Torment method for all creatures. If you have problems with Shadow Army running try the 2nd cast method:

For Torments:

Shadow of Haste -> run to target -> Shadow Form -> Death's Charge -> Meteor Shower -> Lava Font -> Bed of Coals -> Fire Storm -> Lava Font -> Dark Escape

You should be able to pull this combo off just before SF fades and it should usually always be enough to kill everything but the mobs mentioned above. Call of Torment usually helps Fire Storm finish your straggling target.

For Shadow Army (XXXX of Darkness):

Shadow of Haste -> run to target -> Shadow Form -> Death's Charge -> Meteor Shower -> Bed of Coals -> Lava Font -> Fire Storm -> Lava Font (if you have time) -> Dark Escape

If you face Shadow Army, they tend to sometimes run away. If they keep running, trigger Bed of Coals first to burn them earlier. Sometimes they like to run away which results in them living. Fortunately, any groups without monks regen too slow to survive a 2nd or even 3rd assault.

This build isn't perfect yet but I'm trying to find the skills which let me kill the most possible amounts of enemies before I have to rezone. I've seen other E/A's running into Ravenheart Gloom so I know there's some builds out there already....

Another one.

Its much easier to use [skill]Shadow Walk[/skill] instead of shadow of haste. This allows you to teleport in and out safely, and if you don't need deaths charge, you can bring [skill]Flame Djinn's Haste[/skill] to provide an extra bit of damage and help with running.

I was using Flame Djinn's Haste at one point. Right now I'm trying to figure what I can afford to drop without the build suffering from unnecessary danger. I need to experiment with Death's Charge and without and see how it functions.

Also, I forgot to mention that I'm able to kill these mobs with only R2 Lightbringer - I'm almost R3 on my ele but hopefully I can get it even higher so I put out more damage. My R8 Ranger tears through Stygian Veil so I know LB ranks help a lot when soloing..

Fixed your skill description.

@ Why_Me: You couldn't combine them both, because Flame Djinn's Haste is an enchantment.

But you can't CAST it at all during Shadow Walk. You said to use FDH for extra damage, but if you can't cast it, it's pretty useless.
